K. R. Market

The colours in the chaos of the market.

In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity ~ Sun Tzu!!

The busy street and the shops, the whiff of vegetable piles, colourful flower heaps and garlands, people around either selling or buying or sometimes vigorously bargaining and with the variety of items on sale from a pin to a plane, if one happens to look for the same – all make for a photo-op!

Named after Shri. Krishna Rajendra Wodeyar, the former ruler of the then princely state of Mysore, K. R. Market also known as City Market located in the heart of Bangalore city, was established in 1928.  A lifeline of the city, it is one of the oldest and biggest markets. A visit to the market early in the morning shows you how the market comes alive with vendors as well as customers busily going about their business.

Chaos often breeds life, when order breeds habit.
